We offer a full architectural design service from early concept through to the realisation of your project on site. Our staff have a diverse set of skills and experience to be capable of carrying out your project from early visualisations through to construction.
Stage 1: Survey – For almost all projects we will carry out a full buildings survey ourselves. This helps us to get a really good grip on the existing building, its surroundings, setting, flow and state of repair. From the survey we will produce a 3D model of your existing property.
Stage 2: Concept Design – We will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your requirements and to develop the brief. From this we always see the benefit in providing you with a number of concept design options for you to consider. Some of these may not be what you had originally envisaged but often they really help to cement what you want to achieve from your project.
Stage 3: Planning – Having developed a sketch scheme, we will then draw this up three dimensionally. This will give you the option to walk through your design. Once you are happy with the proposal we will prepare all the necessary planning drawings and relevant documentation and submit your application to the appropriate planning authority.
Stage 4: Building regulations – We will develop a package of information to submit to the building regulations inspector in order that they can determine that the proposal complies with all current building regulation standards. At this stage it is usually necessary to employ a structural engineer. We work closely with a number of structural engineers and can obtain quotes and information on each to assist you with this decision.
Stage 5: Technical design and Tender – Providing construction details, scope of works and package of information that will allow your project to be accurately priced by a builder. We work closely with a number of local builders and can assist you with selecting which ones would be best suited to your project.
Stage 6: Contract administration – To assist in the management of risk we are able to offer a contract administration role while your project is on site. As contract administrator we will monitor performance to ensure the objectives of the contract are met on time and within the intended budget.
