June 2015 - Office Move : Stony Street Studios

PAAD has moved into its new office, Studio 4 in Stony Street Studios. The studios are located at 16 Stony Street in the heart of Frome town centre with lovely views up and down the old cobbled street.

September 2014 - Ask An Architect : Volunteer Service @ Homebuildiong Show London

PAAD is attending the Ask An Architect stand for RIBA at the Homebuilding Show at the Olympia in London. Terry will be available on the RIBA stand to give free architectural advice to the public on their projects.

September 2014 - Kingweston Special School Completion

Kingweston Special School block refurbishment for Bristol City Council has been completed. The headmaster and client are very happy as it came in on time and under budget.

September 2014 - Shirehampton School Completion

Shirehampton School ASD extension for Bristol City Council has been completed. The headmaster and client are very happy as it came in under budget.

September 2014 - Bath Green Homes

PAAD attended the Bath Green Homes event at the Guildhall on Bath. Terry volunteered to do a stand giving free advice and information on sustainable design and refurbishment.

August 2014 - Kingweston Special School On Site

Kingweston Special School block refurbishment for Bristol City Council starts on site. Four week program to complete to allow the children to move in for the new school year.

July 2014 - Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent Approved - Chapel On The Hill, Coleford

Planning permission and listed building consent granted for conversion of a Grade II Methodist Chapel in to a family home. The client has started the building works immediately.

February 2014 - Frome Open Homes

The Old Lemonade Factory is taking part in the Frome Open Homes weekend on March 15th. A guided tour can be booked here. There are plenty of other inspirational homes to go and see. Visit their website for further details.

November 2013 - Ask An Architect : Volunteer Service

Terry attended the Ask An Architect event at the National Selfbuild and Rennovation show in Shepton Mallet. Terry was available on the RIBA stand to give free architectural advice to the public on their projects.

June 2013 - Ask An Architect : Volunteer Service

Terry attended the Ask An Architect event on the RIBA stand at the John Lewis in Bristol. The aim is to get interested parties to engage with an architect during the early satges of their project with some free architectural advice.

March 2013 - Riba Award Judging

Terry was an assessor for the RIBA awards and visited three buildings in Wiltshire. Some of the nominations attitude to sustainability was not fully coherent, which was very obvious upon examination. However, it was inspiring to see what our fellow peers are capable of and Terry came away reinvigorated and inspired!

February 2013 - Residential Extension & Remodelling - Trowbridge

A scheme has been submitted for planning permission with a very excited client. This all came from a enquiry from Architect In House (a charity fundraiser for Shelter) and we have redesigned their ground floor to accommodate their daughter who has a developmental disability.

January 2013 - Zero Carbon Status Achieved - The Old Lemonade Factory, Frome

Following the air pressure test and the As Built EPC calculation The Old Lemonade Factory is officially a zero carbon dwelling. An air pressure test result of 1.9m3/hm2 was achieved, the lowest the tester had ever found. The SAP calculation scored 116, which twice that of the average UK dwelling.

November 2012 - PAAD on FromeFM - The Old Lemonade Factory, Frome

The Old Lemonade Factory held an open day to allow interested people to visit the site during construction stage. As part of this Maggie Gregory visited and interviewed Nigel and Terry to make a half hour show on the project. Visit the blog for more details

October 2012 - Refurbishment and fire safety certificate - Lyric Theatre, Bridport

The project has finally been signed off by building control, so the Lyric theatre can operate in the knowledge that everyone will be safe in the event of a fire, whilst the building still retains its lovely atmosphere.

September 2012 - Air Support Building - Exeter

PAAD has been commissioned to provide the building regulations drawings and construction drawings on behalf of parsons Brinkerhoff for the new Exeter Air Support Building at Exeter Airport for Morgan Sindall.

August 2012 - CfSH Level 6 Design Stage Achieved - The Old Lemonade Factory, Frome

January 2012 - Listed Building Consent Application - Lyric Theatre, Bridport

PAAD have just submitted for listed building consent and building regulations approval for Phase 1 of the theatres refurbishment. The hope is that the works will kick start a successful new future for the theatre

November 2011 - Period Eco Refurbishment Fair - Create Centre, Bristol

PAAD had a stall at the fair. It was great so many people enthused and eager to refurbish their houses with sustainability in mind. Terry was invited to this exclusive event as an accredited eco rufurbisher and had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

November 2011 - National Homebuilding and Renovation Show-Bath & West Show Ground

Terry was a volunteer member on the RIBA stand, giving members of the public free impartial advice at this national show. He thought it might be poorly attended with the current economic climate, but he barely had a minute to spare!

September 2011 - Beechwood Avenue Gets Planning Permission

The low carbon refurbishment and new build on Beechwood Avenue, Frome has had planning permission approved.

September 2011 - Terry climbs for glory in the Frome Cobble Wobble

Terry takes part in the legendary Frome Cobble Wobble. However being a veteran 'wobbler' and knowing his limits as a professional athlete decided to take a more continental approach.
